A tune before dying

While they were preparing the hemlock, Socrates was learning how to play a new tune on the flute.

“What will be the use of that?” he was asked.

“To know this tune before dying.”

About Kestrel Slocombe

I like writing, meditation, art, reading, riding horses, playing guitar, watching trees in the wind, ferns, the smell of woodsmoke, Mozart and Bach, long walks in the wilderness, and the sound of the cello.
