The Author

I grew up in the New England countryside. I did not attend school until the age of 13. Until then, I spent most of my time climbing trees, writing novels, making up imaginary realities with my sister, drawing pictures, being afraid of things, and reading books.

I studied literature at Bennington College. I now work at a Buddhist publishing house. I have seven major interests in life:
